d'Economies.

Two more posters from the series issued by teh French Union's National Committee for Pre-planning and Conservation of Resources. Coal and
steel were serious problems for France as the invaded regions had been important sources for these commodities. France found tiself waging
a war which called increasingly for artillery and munitions, when the materials necessary were largely produced by the area cut off behind
the German lines. The French were encouraged to burn peat as an alternative to coal.
