Various postings as NCO with Royal Army Service Corps in GB, Korea and Hong Kong, 1968-1976

REEL 1 Background in GB, 1946-1961: family; education; background to joining army, 1961. Recollections of enlistment and training with Boys Training Regiment, at Rhyl in GB, 1961-1964: grading; train journey to North Wales; opinion of initial training and instructors; opinion of uniforms and own performance; value of volunteering; reasons for his receiving more physical training; adjusting to army life; pay and what it was spent on; discipline and punishments; opinion of military skills gained; importance of security for Royal Army Service Corps clerks. REEL 2 Continues: daily routine; opinion of training; question of use of free time; leave; how foster parent visited passing out parade; pattern of training over three years; clerk training; attitude towards army and leaving army school.
