Aspects of enlistment and training with Fleet Air Arm in GB and Trinidad, 1944-1945: background to volunteering for Fleet Air Arm; selection as observer; observer training with 750 Naval Air Sqdn, HMS Goshawk, Royal Naval Air Station Piarco,Trinidad, 1944-1945; taking short term commission, 1945. Aspects of period as observer with Fleet Air Arm in GB, 1945-1950 impressions of Fairey Barracuda; attending night fighter courses; opinion of De Havilland DH.103 Sea Hornet; pattern of service, 1946-1950; running Fleet Air Arm team for Royal Tournament. Aspects of operations as observer with 812 Sqdn, Fleet Air Arm, HMS Glory off Korea, 4/1951-9/1951: appointment to squadron on HMS Glory in Mediterranean, 1950; nature of operations in Korea; opinion of Fairey Firefly.
