REEL 1 Recollections of operations commanding 2nd Bn Parachute Regt, 3rd Commando Bde during Falklands War, 6/1982: reaction to receiving news of Battle of Goose Green; background to posting to command battalion after death of Colonel Herbert 'H' Jones; arrangements to fly from GB to Ascension Island; period on Ascension Island; character of flight from Ascension Island; parachuting into sea near HMS Penelope; recovery and reception on board HMS Penelope; transfer to HMS Hermes for interview with Admiral Sandy Woodward; transfer to HMS Fearless and reception by Major-General Jeremy Moore; attitude of Brigadier Tony Wilson to Chaundler's taking over 2nd Parachute Regt; reaction of Major Chris Keeble to Chaundler's taking over as unit commander; flight to Fitzroy.
