REEL 1 Aspects of enlistment and training and service as pilot with Transport Command and Royal Air Force Air Support Command, RAF in GB, 1959-1968: early interest in aviation; graduating from Royal Air Force College Cranwell, 1960; learning to fly Handley Page HP.67 Hastings at RAF Dishforth; posting to Singapore, Malaysia during Indonesian Confrontation; opinion of Handley Page HP.67 Hastings; supply drops in Malaysia; flights around Pacific; routes flown; grounding of Handley HP 67 Hastings fleet; flights between GB and Far East; conditions during support flights for United Nations Operation in the Congo in Republic of Congo during 1960s; posting to Singapore, Malaysia, 1965-1967; duties on return to GB; conversion to Lockheed C-130 Hercules at RAF Thorney Island, 1968.
