REEL 1 Aspects of training as NCO with No 6 Commando in GB, 7/1940-2/1942: background to volunteering for commandos, 7/1940; training on North York Moors; Folboat training in Dover/Folkestone area; second hand story of capture of unit members during reconnaissance off French coast, 11/1941. Recollections of operations as NCO with 2nd Special Boat Section in GB and Mediterranean, 1942-1944: formation of unit, 3/1942; training at Ardrossan, GB, 3/1942-9/1942; uniform and personal equipment; formation of Party 'Inhuman' to take part in Operation Torch, the landing in North Africa, 9/1942.
