REEL 1 Background in Bushey, GB and Burma, 1914-1941: education; family; government service in Burma, 1941-1942 including construction of road from Burma to Imphal, India, 1942. Aspects of period as officer with Special Operations Executive in Palestine and Egypt, 7/1943-10/1943: invitation to join Special Operations Executive, 7/1943; knowledge of demolition techniques; parachute course with STS 102 at RAF Ramat David, Palestine; memories of Brigadier Edmund Davies; prior recollection of visit to Germany, 1932 including sight of street fighting in Bonn and anti-Semitism; briefing in Cairo, Egypt. Recollections of operations as officer with Force 133, Special Operations Executive in Greece, 10/1943-6/1944: plan to attack German Air Force units at Argolis.
