Aspects of period as officer with Royal Armoured Corps and Royal Artillery in GB, 1942-1945: call-up for military service, 1942; British Army's attitude towards his left wing politics; radicalisation of British Army personnel during Second World War; question of British Army votes' influence on General Election, 7/1945; influence of Army of Bureau of Current Affairs on opinions of British Army. Recollections of period as officer with 4th (Mahratta) and 5th (Mahratta) Anti-Tank Regts, Royal Indian Artillery in India, 1946-1947: impressions of India; making contact with left wing Indians; character of Deolali Forces Parliament.
