PK reporter, Bru_ussler, introduces SS-Polizeidivision Battalion commander, Major Karl Schimmers, with general words of praise for the quiet heroism of every German soldier. Schimmers describes an action in which he successfully held his position against the Soviets. Worst artillery bombardment ever experienced; attack with boats, infantry and tanks; every German remained at his post. Supported by artillery and aircraft, Soviets penetrate Schimmer's position, but the indescribable courage and fanatical fighting will of his men prevent them from consolidating their position. Attack continues for 6 days and nights. Schimmer's motto "Fight and Win". Bru_ussler recounts Schimmer's life and education: he shares certain qualities with all bearers of the Knights Cross - courage in face of the enemy; selfless comradeship towards officers and men; absolute respect and acceptance.
