Object description
whole: the image occupies the upper third, partially held within a black border. The title and text are separate and positioned in the lower two-thirds, in red and in black. All set against a white background.
image: full length depictions of a German and an Austro-Hungarian soldier, standing back to back with their arms linked. Either side of them, caricatures of Entente Power soldiers line up to attack them. On the left, Uncle Sam passes an artillery shell to a British soldier wearing a kilt; a Japanese soldier crouches and points a pistol; an Indian soldier wearing a turban and holding a knife; and a French soldier having a bayonet pushed up his nose by the German soldier. On the right, a disheveled and overweight Serbian soldier leans on an Italian soldier who carries a knife covered in blood; and a Russian soldier waving a white handkerchief.
