Object description

image: a detailed study for the lower half of panel one of Ray Walker's triptych 'Army Recruitment'. It incorporates a variety of images relating to the intial stages of army recruitment. These include a suitcase, an action man figure sprawled on a Union Jack, a man writing a letter home to his mother, a man polishing army boots and a man in the bottom left saluting with one hand and holding a pornographic picture with the other. It also incorporates the badges of the Parachute Regiment and the Life Guards, as well as a soldier's tattooed arm.
