LE PORT DE LONDRES
L'Office du Port de Londres ou 'Autorité du Port de Londres', P.L.A., est un service public autonome. Le comité directeur se compose de
membres nommés représentant les services de l'État et les organismes publics intéressés et de délégués élus des armateurs, négociants et
autres usagers du port. Les taxes diverses perçues par l'Office du Port sont destinées à couvrir les frais d'exploitation et le paiement
d'intérêts déterminés. L'Autorité du Port de Londres a pour but d'offrir le service le meilleur au coût le plus bas, à l'usage de tous. Il
est réputé dans le monde entier et ne le cède à aucun port sous le rapport de l'efficience. L'illustraion montre un navire amarré au Hay's

governing and non-subsidised Public Utility Service. The Board is composed of appointed representatives of Government Departments and
Public Bodies, and elected representatives of Shipowners, Merchants and other users of the Port. The Port Authority's rates and charges are
designed to produce revenue sufficient to cover operating costs and fixed interest charges. The aim of the Authority is to provide the best
service at the lowest cost for all users of the Port. The Authority has a world-wide reputation second to none for efficiency. This picture
