GIARDINI D'INFANZIA IN GRAN BRETAGNA
fritto, lardo, biscotti integrali, latte. Pranzo: carne tritata, sugo, patate, spinaci, dolce di semolino. Merenda: fette di pane con
marmellata, dolce di cioccolata, latte.

[Putting away his folding bed after the afternoon rest. Her rest period ended, she folds her blanket and tidies up. A nursery school in
Britain. Rest and fresh air make youngsters healthy. The big picture above shows a typical nursery school scene. Every afternoon, for an
hour or more, the children have a short sleep in the fresh air. Sometimes, if the weather is right, they move their beds out into the open.
When they get up, the older children help fold the blankets and put away the beds. The children also get plenty of exercise. They are
encouraged to romp and play a good deal, and almost every day they go out for a good brisk walk. On their walks they learn about the
seasons and the names of flowers, birds and trees. Fresh air and exercise give the children a healthy appetite. A typical day's menu is:
Breakfast: Fried bread, bacon, rusks, milk. Dinner: Minced meat, gravy, potatoes, spinach, semolina pudding. Tea: Jam sandwiches, chocolate
cake, milk. For victory.]
