text: YOUR BOMBERS IN ACTION
GOLD COAST
Contributions towards bomber aircraft have been presented to Great Britain by the people of the Gold Coast. Here are some British bomber
crews preparing for a big raid on Germany.
As the aircraft near their targets, they have to dodge enemy searchlights, anti-aircraft gun-fire and sometimes enemy night-fighter planes.
Once they are over their targets, down go the bombs!
Big explosions occur and fires begin to blaze as the bombs hit their targets of war factories, railways and power plants. The British
bombers turn for home, their task successfully accomplished.
GOLD COAST
Home again after the raid, the bomber crews climb out of their aircraft and go to make their reports. Gold Coast bombers have taken part in
some of the big raids.
Thank you, Gold Coast!
Other war gifts from Gold Coast include contributions for the purchase of fighter aircraft, the Red Cross and St. John Fund, Anti-Aircraft
Command Welfare, Air Raid Relief, Minesweeper Fund, mobile canteens, British Prisoners of War Fund, Merchant Seamen's Charities, Aid to
Russia, Comforts for the Gold Coast Squadron, and other war funds.
