A côté de la Mairie, créons le Foyer des Campagnes, la maison jolie, accueillante, où chacun trouvera après le labeur du jour ou de la semaine, les distractions saines: bibliothèque, séances de cinéma, groupe théâtral, musique, sports, la salle de réunion, le service de renseignements, le bureau du Syndicat agricole, les bains-douches, la consultation de nourrissons, l'école ménagère; la maison dont les querelles de partis ne franchiront pas le seuil, qui deviendra dans le village le centre de la vie morale et sociale, où l'art commémorera le souvenir de nos gloires et de nos morts. Et tout d'abord que cela soit fait dans les régions qui ont si longtemps souffert sous le joug ennemi; puis dans ces pays du centre où le labeur des femmes et des vieillards assura le ravitaillement du pays; où le poilu revient glorieux et las pour vivre une vie nouvelle plus intelligente, plus saine, plus noble.
