Label: Clothing Inspection Division; stamped - Standard; Specification No.: 'Nil', Catalogue No.: 371031-2 (scored through), Pattern No.: 10006 (scored through), 12419 written in; Official Designation: CF1030, Cover Cap MP Scarlet; Comment: "Material:- Twill, Turkey Red, 35", Elastic - white flat 3/16", Cotton - Red Mercerised No. 18. To be made in two sizes, viz- No. 1 - 12 1/2ins in diameter for caps below size 7, No. 2 - 13 1/2ins in diameter for Caps size 7 and above."; Date sealed: (Signature) 6-10-40.

Seal: On a piece of khaki wool, a circular red sealing wax seal with the shield from the Arms of the Board of Ordnance encircled by CHIEF INSPECTOR.
