Large rectangular brown leather-covered tray with brown leather-covered board with a green velvet backing. On the bottom right corner on the obverse, a yellow metal coat of arms featuring 2 sable antelopes flanking a shield bearing a pickaxe with a lion passant lion flanked by thistle flowers and 2 leaves at the top, surmounted by a helmet on which is a Zimbabwe bird. Below the shield, a scroll reads "SIR NOMINE DIGNA". The tray contains a green velvet-lined board with brown and gold ribbon edging on which are 27 badges in 4 rows. In the bottom right hand corner the label reads "RHODESIAN SECURITY FORCES CAP BADGES" and lists the badges in the order the appear on the board, followed by "REUTELER MFG. (PVT.) LTD. SALISBURY". 1st row: White metal badge bearing a bugle horn surmounted by a statant guardant lion holding a horn with background partially voided above which is a bow. Below the horn, a scroll "RHODESIAN LIGHT INFANTRY". Labelled "RLI". White metal eagle facing forward with wings displayed and elevated in an abstract style, standing on an arced title reading "SELOUS SCOUTS". Labelled "Selous Scouts". White metal badge in the shape of a Zulu shield on which is crossed spears and below, with background voided, a scroll reading "RHODESIAN AFRICAN RIFLES". Labelled "RAR". Black metal badge in the shape of a wreath superimposed on which is an iron cross on the arms of which is inscribed: on left "GREAT WAR 1914-1918" and "KILIMANJARO", on top "S.W. AFRICA 1914-15", on right "EAST AFRICA 1915-17" and "BEHO BEHO", on bottom "SECOND WORLD WAR". Surmounting the top arm is a guardant passant lion holding a curved bar. Beneath the Selous Scouts badge, in a row on its own, a very small bronze coloured Zimbabwe bird badge. 2nd row: Bronze metal guardant passant lion facing left holding a horn, below which a scroll in white metal reading "FIDE ET FIDUCIA" and either side laurel branches. White metal Mercury badge, showing the male figure facing left wearing a winged hat, holding a pole with entwined circles and wings, standing with one foot on a gridded globe and the other bent in the air, with wings on the heels, and one arm up in the air in front. Behind the globe, a 3 part scroll reading "CERTA CITO", below which a wreath motif either side of the globe on a filled background, and below a scroll reading "RHODESIA". Labelled "Signals". Superimposed on the wreath, a Garter belt reading "RHODESIAN", within which, on a red enamel background, a guardant passant lion facing left holding a horn. Labelled "Services Corp." White metal flaming torch with 3 flames, superimposed on which is a guardant passant lion facing left holding a horn with background voided in yellow metal, below which is a scroll reading "RHODESIA". Polished white metal badge consisting of a vertical rectangular bar in the centre, either side of which 2 vertical bars with curved lower ends curving in towards the centre and attached by 2 thin horizontal bars near top and bottom. Small white metal circlet reading "RHODESIAN DEFENCE UNIT", over the bottom of which is a scroll in yellow metal reading "TARISIRA and at the top apex a Zimbabwe bird in yellow metal. Within the circlet, on a green enameled background, a pair of crossed spears in white metal. Labelled "RhDU". Small yellow metal pair of crossed spears, over which is a circlet reading "RHODESIAN INTELLIGENCE CORPS", surmounted by a guardant passant lion facing left holding a horn with background voided. Inside the circlet, with background voided, a rose of Lancashire over which is superimposed a shield with blue enamel background on which is the letter "I" with arms extending diagonally upwards in yellow metal. Brass coloured metal circular fort torret with crenulated top and 2 cross windows standing on a scroll reading "GUARD FORCE", superimposed over a sword positioned vertically with hilt at the bottom, on which is written "IV". Yellow metal wreath of oak and laurel leaves, with centre voided, over which is a Maltese cross, in the centre of which a circlet reading "IN THIS SIGN CONQUER" surrounding a circlet with horizontal ridged background on which is a 4-petal flower outline.
