This is surrounded by a black circle with the inscription EHRENVOLL GEDIENT BEI DEN NATIONALEN VOLKSARMEE. This, in turn, is ringed by scenes illustrating activities of the East German People's Army. Three of the corners are illustrated with green line drawings of East German/Soviet vehicles. The fourth corner ZUR ERINNERUNG. The cloth is edged in red and yellow. It is contained within an original carrier bag with a cartoon of a an East German soldier jumping over a wall being greated by family and surrounded by the legend EHRENVOLL BIS ZUM LETZTEN TAG GEDIENT (translated as IN MEMORY OF YOUR LAST DAY OF SERVICE). Issued to the East German People's Army on their last day of service.
