British Army General Service rucksack, green, made of waterproofed canvas fitted around a metal frame by means of padded fabric straps. The entrance to the main body of the rucksack is protected by a plastic waterproofed guard. At the front of the bag is a large pocket secured by canvas straps and metal buckles. At each side of the bag are two further pockets with straps. The main lid to the rucksack is also secured by fabric straps and metal buckles. The shoulder straps are secured to the framework by means of clips and D-links. Written in marker pen on the back, at the top is WINES below this is a cream-coloured stitched label with an inscription obscured. Inside one of the side pockets is a can opener, in the other a rock.
