Dark green sleeping bag, British Army issue, 1976 - 2000. Sleeping bag is made of waterproofed fabric with soft polyester lining, padded. The sleeping bag is rolled and folded and held by toggles and green fabric loops. When rolled, the sleeping bag fits into an integral hood which is also closed with green toggles and fabric loops. The fabric loops are at the end of green fabric straps around the hood, to which a fabric handle is stitched on the underside. On one end of the hood is inscribed in black marker pen WINES, HQA, SQN. This inscription is laid over a previous green inscription reading L,CPL JACK BMT SQN. On the other end is a further inscription reading L,CPL JACK BMT SQN which is obscured by green pen.
This sleeping bag was issued to L Cpl Jack and later Gary Wines of 21 SAS Regiment.
