Pouch to contain a horse anti-gas respirator, US Army, First World War. Rectangular-shaped pouch, top opening, made of woven course string-like material. The flap is secured by three metal 'lift-the-dot' fasteners - possibly copper or copper alloy. To the reverse is fitted via pairs of rivets, two short leather securing straps, each fitted with rusted steel, single-pronged square buckles. Heavily soiled with corroded fittings.
