Helmet: protective helmet of black meshed fabric construction with padded ridges to the crown, running front to back, with a large horizontal pad to the forehead. The helmet has a chinstrap with buckle and features leather covered ear housings for communications. A black lead and jack plug are attached to the rear of the helmet and a throat microphone is also attached.
Iraqi crews of armoured vehicles commonly used Soviet equipment and clothing that complemented their Eastern bloc-built vehicles and tanks. The standard flame-retardant fabric helmets were commonly encountered, including this lightweight version.
