sword, Army Officer's, shin-gunto pattern with scabbard and sword
Physical description
bright plated blade, unpierced guard is loose as the grip has been detached from the tang, the latter being clearly marked with engraved maker's details; the grip-retaining pegs are missing. A brown and blue cloth sword knot is attached to the hilt. Metal scabbard with brown leather field service cover, lace-holed near mouthpiece.
History note
Very likely of Second World War provenance.
