Hard shell holster made of black leather with an external magazine pouch sewn upright to the left, with a single strap that threads through a steel bracket for securing the holster & contents closed. To the reverse side are sewn two leather belt loops.
This is a standard type of holster used by German military personnel during the Second World War that were armed with the 9mm Luger 08 pistol. This example (and the pistol – see FIR 11366) was used by French Resistance fighter, Rene Guillot. Guillot worked in a Resistance group from 1943 until his arrest and deportation in 1944. Both weapon and holster were hidden before his arrest and returned to him later.
