Physical description
Pistol holster of black leather with a large flap secured by a short leather strap and metal stud. A vertical external magazine pocket is fitted to the front face of the holster and there is a leather belt loop fitted to the reverse. The holster is well-used and the magazine pocket is dried and crushed.
History note
This holster and its weapon (FIR 11696) were taken by Odette Churchill from SS-Obersturmbannführer Fritz Suhren, commandant of Ravensbrück Concentration Camp, after he had driven her to the American lines in May 1945.
