History note
This is part of a two-piece suit made by a skilled Austrian former inmate for the wedding of Taube Biber, married 7th August, 1946, at the former Concentration Camp of Bergen-Belsen.
Taube was born in 1925, a Polish Jew, living in 1939 in Mielec, Poland. She was initially deported to Lublin in March 1942, and later sent to Krakow Ghetto. Moved on to Plaszow concentration camp, she was later sent to Auschwitz-Birkenau (1943-1944) until being sent to Bergen-Belsen, remaining there until after its liberation, leaving in 1947. Mrs Taube Biber immigrated to England later that same year.
