Framed cloth embroidery of the badge for 6th Basic Flying Training School with shield with blue top with 3 white stars, and red and white vertical stripes below with golden eagle superimposed in the centre with gold crown above and letters 6 BFTS below.

Embroidery made by Sergeant Pilot Francis (Frank) Gordon Dolphin whilst undergoing training at 6th Basic Training Flying School at Ponca, Oklahoma. He joined the RAF 6 Jyly 1940. He died in an air crash at Peterborough.
