Cap, (Field) Camouflage (Portuguese Lizard pattern)

Cap Camouflage herringbone lightweight cloth field cap printed in a Portuguese version of the French 'Lizard' pattern, being broad brush strokes of dark brown and dark green overlaid on light green. The cap has a multi-stitched soft front peak with a fish tail neck curtain attached tot he rear. The cap is elasticated at both sides.

Portugal first adopted camouflage uniform clothing in 1960, used by the elite Rifles Battalion, and later universally issued from 1963.
