Jacket
Single-breasted jacket with stand collar of fine quality khaki cloth with twisted cord epaulettes of worsted light khaki fabric. The jacket has pleated breast pockets and lower bellows pockets to the skirts. Regimental pattern buttons are fitted but the collar badges are missing. The cuffs are decorated with rank of Lieutenant.
The jacket is in very poor condition, being heavily infested.
History note
Evelyn Henry Tschudi Broadwood served as an Officer of the 1st Battalion, Norfolk Regiment during the First World War, embarking for France with the British Expeditionary Force (BEF) in August 1914. Broadwood was wounded in October 1914, probably at the Battle of La Bassee, and was awarded the Military Cross in February of the following year.
