Greatcoat, Grey (SP 1899): Sergeant's & Constable's, Royal Irish Constabulary
Full-length single-breasted greatcoat of dark grey wool serge, featuring a turn-down collar with hook-and-eye fastening at the throat, front fastening of five black RIC pattern buttons (uppermost and lowermost missing) and a lower button-tab fastening, a vertical slash pocket with single button closure to either side of the waist, plain cuffs and a rear half-belt with twin button fastening. Internally, the greatcoat is half-lined in white blanket material.
