Jacket, Bush, Khaki Drill: Officer's, Royal Marines
Single-breasted bush jacket of khaki drill featuring a turn-down collar worn open or closed, front fastening of five removable buttons, epaulettes with grommet holes for the attachment of insignia, pleated breast pockets with scalloped button flaps, bellows skirt pockets with rectangular button flaps, single button cuffs and a rear vent. All buttons have been removed.
The khaki drill bush jacket first appears in Royal Marines Dress Regulations in 1949, listed as an optional item of clothing for Officers to be worn with No. 7 Dress while not on parade.
