Long-sleeved jumper of dark blue serge featuring a front zip opening that terminates mid-torso, opening up into a collar which turns into a neck flap at the back, and button cuffs. The jacket is unlined and has two internal chest pockets.
Sewn to the upper left arm is a cloth shoulder title with the text 'ROYAL NAVAL RESERVE', with evidence of a badge directly below having been removed. To the upper right arm is sewn a trade badge signifying Leading Electrical Mechanic, being four diagonal lightning bolts with a central L and one star below and one above. To the lower right arm is sewn a Marksman's badge, being two crossed rifles. All of these badges are embroidered in gold on a dark blue field. Sewn to the upper left breast are the following medal ribbons: War Medal 1939-45; Royal Naval Reserve Long Service and Good Conduct Medal.
