(P-SULFONEDIEHLORAMIDO-BENZOIC ACID) / ABBOTT LABORATRIES, NORTH CHICAGO, ILL., USA / STOCK NO. 51-T-1500 / TO USE PUT TWO TABLETS IN A CANTEEN FULL OF WATER (APPROX. ONE QUART) AND SHAKE BRISKLY. WAIT 30 MINUTES BEFORE DRINKING WATER. IF WATER IS DIRTY OR DISCOLOURED USE FOUR TABLETS. EACH TABLET CONTAINS 0.004 GM. History note
Fyffe served as an NCO with 49 FSS, based in the Scottish Highlands 1940-41. Commissioned into the Intelligence Corps in 1941 for SOE duties, he served with the Spanish Section until being assigned as Head of Security for SOE's No 6 Workshop School at Inverlair, where agents who were partially trained and deemed as unfit for operational duties were held. In 1942 he was appointed Chief Security Officer for SOE in Scotland, and in 1944 joined the Security Section at HQ SOE, Baker Street. From 1945-6 Fyffe was sent to Germany as an Intelligence Officer with ME 42, the SOE German Mission, where he was engaged in tracing the fate of missing SOE agents and in assessing the impact of SOE operations in Germany.
