Brown leather official issue USAAF briefcase, the case has two leather straps around the outside with gold metal buckles and a gold metal lock mechanism in the centre, the lock component on the flap has the inscription 'CREST LOCK CO. INC. U.S.A.' engraved upon it under which 'W234039' is etched by hand, there is a black ink stamp on the reverse of the flap 'CASE, BRIEF, LEATHER, TYPE I, FED. SPEC. KK-B-650, 8460-248-3777, GS-00S-45895, MUTUAL BRIEF CASE CO. INC, U.S. PROPERTY', the name Joe is stratched by hand onto the front of the case, inside the case are four large compartments -one of them containing a standard board and metal clipboard engraved 'SKILCRAFT QUALITY BLIND MADE PRODUCTS'. One of the leather loops that hold the straps in place has become detached.
