Rag doll with yellow plaited woollen hair. She is wearing a short white long sleeved shirt which is embroidered with flowers and leaves and trimmed with lace and a blue, black and brown striped skirt. Around her waist she wears a tied belt of plaited red, blue, pink and yellow wool.
This doll, in Estonian costume, was made by Estonian displaced persons who were being cared for by an English hospital nurse in Estonia in 1946. She was given the doll and subsequently brought it back to Bolton.
