Unopened silver tin can containing 5 ounces of pure dried whole eggs, tin is painted gold except for top and base and there are inscriptions stamped around the sides in black which read: PURE DRIED WHOLE EGGS, NET WEIGHT 5 OUNCES, FOR EUROPEAN RECOVERY, SUPPLIED BY THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA and THIS CAN MUST BE KEPT IN A COOL DRY PLACE AWAY FROM ANYTHING HAVING A STRONG SMELL and Directions For Use.
History note
A tin of dried eggs manufactured in the U.S. and delivered by a milkman during the Second World War to the donor's house at Steeple-Aston in Oxfordshire.
