Silver anodized aluminium headdress badge for soldiers of the 2nd Battalion The Royal Green Jackets, being a St. Edward's (Queen's) crown on a tablet embossed PENINSULA, the tablet linking the tips of a laurel wreath enclosing a Maltese Cross on each of the four arms of which four battle honours, in the centre of the cross a circlet embossed THE ROYAL GREEN JACKETS, in the centre of the circlet a strung bugle horn, below the lower arm of the cross and resting on the wreath binding a Naval Crown above which a label on which embossed COPENHAGEN above 2ND APRIL 1801 below. Captioned: “Cap Badge”. Slider to reverse stamped J.R. GAUNT LONDON.
