Box 75: Mounting card captioned “The Royal Green Jackets Officers” on which 4 items (11025-11028). There is a central caption for a "Metal Shoulder Title" but no evidence that such a badge was ever on the card. Bottom left Caption “54/Inf/9062” and bottom right “Box no. 92”. Reverse plain.
Nickel silver headdress badge for officers of The Royal Green Jackets, being a St. Edward's (Queen's) crown on a tablet embossed PENINSULA, the tablet linking the tips of a laurel wreath enclosing a Maltese Cross on each of the four arms of which four battle honours, in the centre of the cross a circlet embossed THE ROYAL GREEN JACKETS, in the centre of the circlet a strung bugle horn, below the lower arm of the cross and resting on the wreath binding a Naval Crown above which a label on which embossed COPENHAGEN above 2ND APRIL 1801. "Captioned: "Cap Badge". Two loops and cotter pin to reverse.
The battle honours carried on the Maltese Cross are, top arm: VITTORIA, WATERLOO, INKERMAN, DELHI; right arm: AFGHANISTAN, NONNEBOSSCHEN, LADYSMITH, YPRES; lower arm: SOMME, CALAIS, EL ALAMEIN, PEGASUS BRIDGE; left arm: SALAMANCA, BADAJOS, CORUNNA, QUEBEC.
