Badge: A pair of qualification badges, tacked together near the base, for a Chief Petty Officer Survey Recorder of the Royal Navy, being a tombstone shape of dark blue wool on which embroidered in red an Imperial (King's) crown above a Sextant / triangular-shaped survey instrument. In the opposing top uncut corners the figure 90A embroidered in red.
Label 1: Small red-printed label, Admiralty Duplicate Pattern, Patt. No.: (N.90A - scored through) 32113 written in; V/TA - 16/81 31.8.1949.
Reverse: Selected by: Stamp - J. Thompson, oval stamp - Technical Examining Officer / Roche Court Fareham, 28 Oct 1948.
Seal 1: Large lead disc on one side of which S.A above a Broad Arrow, on the other side a figure 2 within a circle just discernible.
