Physical description
A blue cross on a red shield.
History note
There is also a version with a black (or very dark Navy) cross, possibly Canadian.
The design was that of 21 Army Group but without the crusader swords.
The badge was worn during the war by all ranks of 21 Army Group GHQ Troops and by LofC formations and units not allotted to lower formations with their own badge. The badge was also worn after the end of hostilities by British Troops in France, being the wartime Rear Maintenance Area in Normandy and several Base depots, transit camps and other administrative headquarters.
