dark blue gerbil wielding a kukri beneath which is the figure 28 all on a sand coloured square.
The squadron was formed specifically for service in the Gulf War. It was part of the Ambulance Group supporting 1st (UK) Armoured Division, 4th and 7th Armoured Brigades. After the conflict the Squadron returned to Hong Kong and was disbanded.
The badge was designed by an unknown Gurkha soldier and was approved by the Officer Commanding (OC), Major R. J. Gilroy, RCT (attached to the Gurkha Transport Regiment). It was then authorised by Lieutenant-Colonel I. R. Gunn, OC the Ambulance Group.
