Button: Gold anodized aluminium domed medium button for the Royal Scots (The Royal Regiment) on which the Star of the Order of the Thistle overlaid by the figure of St. Andrew with a saltire, round the lower arc of the button on a downward arc THE ROYAL SCOTS. Reverse stamped SMITH & NEPHEW LTD / B'HAM. Long screw fixing to reverse. A separate circular brass base with central female post fixing to which the shank is screwed.
Pouch: Small cotton draw-string pouch.
