A yellow embroidered chevron with a curved base incorporating a 0.2cm border. Upon the yellow field are three blue chevrons, each 4.3cm wide and 0.5cm high. Below the chevrons are three shallow arcs (or rockers) the same dimensions as the chevrons.
This is the rank badge for a Master Sergeant.
This series of rank badges were in use from 1948 to 1951, the badges were smaller than those used previously.
The blue chevrons on a yellow background were used by combat troops.
The chevrons were worn inverted.
