Badge: Bronze headdress badge to the Gloucestershire Regiment, being a female Sphinx looking left, tip of tail vertically above the centre of the back, sitting atop a tablet on which EGYPT, a pair of laurel sprays enfold the tablet, across the foot of the badge a downward scroll on which GLOUCESTERSHIRE. Two loops to reverse. A cotter pin is mounted with the badge.
Flap: White cotton flap protects the badge.

Seal: a red sealing wax seal of a vertical rectangular cartouche containing the Shield, Crest and Motto scroll from the Arms of the Board of Ordnance, remnant; a further red sealing wax fragment.
