An anodized aluminium (gold) small button for the Royal Scots (The Royal Regiment), with a single centrally placed lug on reverse, the obverse is embossed with an emblem which features the figure of St Andrew holding a saltire imposed on the centre of the Star of the Order of the Thistle, the button is one of twelve insignia mounted on white card entitled "THE ROYAL SCOTS (The Royal Regt.) Other Ranks".
