An anodized aluminium (silver and gold) bonnett badge for the Royal Scots (The Royal Regiment), with a pair of lugs on reverse, the badge is shaped around the emblem which features the figure of St Andrew holding a saltire within the Star of the Order of the Thistle, the badge is backed with a piece of scarlet cloth, the badge is one of twelve insignia mounted on white card entitled "THE ROYAL SCOTS (The Royal Regt.) Other Ranks".
