An anodized aluminium small button for the Corps of Royal Engineers, convex and circular with single centrally placed lug on reverse, the obverse is embossed with "ERII" cypher within crowned Garter with the title of the regiment "ROYAL ENGINEERS" inscribed below, the button is one of eight insignia mounted on white card entitled "CORPS OF ROYAL ENGINEERS. Other Ranks", the metal insignia are tied together with white cotton tape on reverse and sealed with green wax impressed with the stamp of the Ministry of Defence Army Officers Pattern.
