A small Mess Dress gold wire embroidered breast badge to 2nd Glider Pilots, being the letter 'G' within a circlet from each side of which extend at an upward angle a pair of wings. All on a scarlet fabric backing cut to shape. Captioned above: "No 2, BD and Tropical Dress". The badge is glued to the card.

Captioned at the top, above the upper three badges (11794-11976): "Air Observation Post Pilot / Superseded by Army Flying Badge 101st Meeting W.O.D.C." and across the centre above a further three badges (11797-11979): "2nd Glider Pilot Badge". Captioned below the lower three badges: "All worn on left breast above medal ribbons." Also captioned lower left: "ACI 676 of 1950" and lower right: "Box No. 173". Reverse top left with a green sealing wax oval seal with above "MINISTRY OF DEFENCE", and below "PATTERN ROOM" with across the centre "ARMY / OFFICERS". Top right an oval stamp with "Q (MAINT) 2" above and "MINISTRY OF DEFENCE" below, with across the centre "15 JUL 1970".
