Bronzed metal rank star to officers of the Scots Guards, being the Star of the Order of the Thistle (the saltire of St. Andrew with clusters of rays within the angles) over the centre of which embossed a circlet with the motto NEMO ME IMPUNE LACESSIT (None provokes me with impunity), in the centre of the circlet a thistle flower and two leaves. Captioned to the left, following an asterisk: “Scots Guards and Irish Guards wear bronze badges of the same design with Battledress, Khaki Greatcoat and British Warm.”. Two loops and cotter pin to reverse.
