Mau-Mau artisan-made shotgun. Very crude construction from gas pipe painted black, with wooden stock. The mechanism is a slam fire, the firing pin being pulled back and released. The trigger is purely symbolic. At some point the gun has been deactivated by the insertion of a brass plug into the breech. The number '10/61' stamped on this arm does not correspond to an IWM accession number, and this does not appear to be part of the main group of Mau-Mau arms (H108/55). Cow-hide sling, with hairs still attached in places.
